Shouts and Murmurs

I illustrated the Shouts and Murmurs article, "Community Service," by Allison Silverman in this week's New Yorker!
Check out the article here. It's a good one– particularly if you're a Brooklynite.

Here's an earlier version of the illustration before a dimension change!

Thanks again, Nick and Jordan!

New PCWorld Piece!

New piece for Beth Kamoroff at PCWorld about how to make Windows smarter.  It's always interesting to work with such abstract topics, and Beth is really great to work with.  It was nice to be able to work with the typographic solution, too, and trying to fit in "inefficiency"!  I've done a lot of more "urban" type solutions with buildings mostly, so working with a more serene, quiet scene was challenge, but a good one.  Another nice bonus if you pick up the magazine was the nice type on the opposing page.  Thought I'd throw in the sketches, too.  I'm happy when I'm happy with all the sketches, and really would have been happy to do any of these.

History of the World Preview . . .

Here's some poorly photographed previews for the April Capitol Region ArtCenter show I'm doing with Owen Sherwood, "The History of the World", including a detail of my Charles Darwin portrait, "We are all descended from homeless people", and "The Bullet That Shot Abe Lincoln".  Whether any of these make it in the show or not, I'm having a blast working on them
