French Fries to go...

My my my very first blog post, of course I have to stutter, I feel very nervous. Thanks for the invitation guys!

A Paris gig that Brendan and I have been working all summer is taking place. He was listening to Bram Stoker's Dracula on tape when painting and as a result, it became the Crossing. When lunch time came around, I was tempted to make that enormous crocodile sandwich from Roald Dahl's Revolting Recipes with baguette as the body, boiled eggs for the eyes and artichokes for the scales, mmm...It didn't happen though, I'll save that for my kid's bento box someday. Okay, back to the show stuff, I made my very first hanging mobile and sure enough, difficult to balance the wires, big ups to the genius -  Alexander Calder. For now, I want to share about a fine French: Isabelle Boinot. Her collages and drawings are full of flavor! In the gastronomical Paris, you can find her Super Cherie Zine and her features in Frederic Magazine at Un Regard Moderne. (this comic/book store is packed with treasures)
