Die Antwoord

Die Antwoord, The New Yorker, March 1, 2010

Die Antwoord is a South African rap band. Their name means "The Answer" in Afrikaans— just don't ask them what the question is.

Read more about them in "Answer Men" by Sasha Frere-Jones.

"This is like the coolest song I ever heard in my whole life." (4:04)

That is one of the craziest videos I've seen. They're white, rather freakish looking, and rapping with a South African accent . . . about ninjas. And it's not a cartoon on Adult Swim, it's a real thing. My lord.

For some reason the kid with Progeria seems less exploitative then Kid Rock's midget guy. You know?

Ha, yeah it is like an Adult Swim cartoon come to life!

That kid isn't actually in the band, just the video. According to wikipedia, he's a South African painter.
